General Manager of engineering business, South Asia
The company is a social enterprise and is currently primarily engaged in the diesel generator sales, rental and servicing area, with minor operations in steel fabrication, hydraulic fittings manufacture and solar installations. The position would involve managing the current business operations and managing service and installation contracts. A background in any of the following would be advantageous; high voltage electrics, fabrication, machining, diesel maintenance, chemical process technology or contract negotiation, however consideration would be given to all applicants. Significant time would be spent with international companies and NGOs, so a high level of English language competency would be required.
Needed to up-skill and work alongside the great teachers in our primary and secondary school at GEMS. The role includes some curriculum work, but is mostly working alongside the Maths and Science teachers to up-skill, encourage, expand their content knowledge in these subjects. We are looking for someone who is eager for a new challenge, enjoys learning about a new culture and is passionate about helping others grow. Our school uses the British Curriculum and the teachers teach and speak in English. The position is for a minimum of one year, but are willing to discuss other options.
Needed to run spoken English classes. We run a number of schools, both formal and informal, but there is a real need for our organization to offer more in regards to spoken English classes. You would get to travel and experience a new language and culture, while up-skilling and encouraging the locals in spoken English. You do not need to speak the language or have been to Asia before. This position will require a minimum stay of 3 months.
Needed to help up-skill and encourage a group of teachers in one of our more rural schools in South Asia. These teachers are willing to learn and looking for someone to model and teach them good teaching practices, while also helping to improve their English. The position would ideally be for 1 year. We would love to have you join the team.
Need to assist with new product and designs for stationery and blanket freedom business. Would require at least 3 months onsite but then the role could be done from afar with regular communication with the business.
