As the mission arm of the Baptist Churches of Aotearoa New Zealand we exist to resource New Zealand Baptists to ‘do’
mission. Over the 123 years of our history we have gathered a large number of
resources that we love to share.
One of our greatest resources is our staff both here and
overseas. Staff in either location would love to help in whatever way they can
to work with you in your mission endeavours. Should you require a staff member
to meet with yourself, your small group, or your church then please do not
hesitate to make contact to arrange this.
Commission and Mission Matters explore different aspects of
mission life relevant to New Zealand Baptists both informing and challenging
and are available through the link to the right.
Twice a year we create church wide ‘appeals’. There is the
‘Prayer and Self Denial’ focus with the theme for 2008 being ‘Colliding
Worlds’. A large number of resources are available by following this particular
link. Whilst much of it is related to a church’s activities on a Sunday there
are also a large number of small group studies for individuals to pursue.
The second major ‘appeal’ is our Christmas Angel appeal. As
we consider the birth of Jesus we invite people to consider what it means to
include Jesus as part of our own family. What would it mean to take seriously
the concept of him being the ‘unseen guest’ at all of our gatherings? What are
the ramifications of this? The resources for this particular focus will be
available here in October 2008.
In our Auckland office we have a variety of excellent literary resources which are available to
purchase or borrow. There are also a wide variety of DVD based resources for individuals
and small groups. Please contact us for further information on your particular
area of interest.
