Bruce and Karen are involved with Southern Cross Bible Distribution, working with teams that provide Bibles to many mainland visitors who come to their city. Just recently Karen met a 20-year-old student named Diana.
"She came over to me, took the Bible I offered her and said she had many questions about Jesus, and wondered if I could answer them. She had beautiful English so it was easy to talk. She told me her grandparents were Christians but she believed it was too hard for her parents to be in the Mainland. Each Christmas her grandparents would tell her the Jesus story.
"She said that as she visited our city she saw many churches she could go into and look around, but there was no one to answer her questions. She asked me how I could believe in God and Jesus when I cannot see them. With that the wind picked up and the trees swayed in the breeze. I told her about how we could see and feel the effects of the wind, and pointed to the trees, but that we could not actually see the wind. She gasped and said that finally she understood this.
"I took her through the four spiritual laws gospel presentation. She said she understood. She was not ready to make a commitment right then but she asked for my email address in order to keep in touch and be able to ask me more about my faith in Jesus. She was very eager to know and understand more. She took the free Bible and Christian literature packet we had to offer."
