PipAug11CMYK-193x300Pip says that the picture to the right epitomises what the last few months have been like for her – walking hand-in-hand with the women from her community, doing life together. Mostly these have been times of joy, but there have been times of sadness as they walk together during the hard situations too. Over recent weeks the deaths of two people close to those in the community have hit everyone hard. Yet Pip says that these have also been opportunities for God to be seen at work, for relationships to be strengthened with Him and with others.

Pip writes, "I have fallen heart-first into this community and have been amazed at how God has opened up relationships with these women. I am now starting to get a handle on what my role looks like and have begun a few small projects while I continue to focus on language study. Looking ahead and discovering my role is fantastic. I love to be able to dream of possibilities and now I get to work on making it into a reality. I have started health checks on all our staff as well as the beginnings of some health education."
