Neil-133x200I think it's fair to say that for most of us, family is very important. I want to invite you this month to pray particularly for the families of our overseas workers. Not just the children, but the grandparents, parents and other relatives who remain in New Zealand.

Living overseas does mean that considerable sacrifices are often made by families. It is hard for grandparents and parents to see their offspring go and live in another country. Thankfully modern communication technology means that contact with family can be regular and relatively inexpensive, but they don't substitute for time spent with family and the hugs and cuddlesthat accompany family gatherings and outings.

Pray for good and creative means of communication that will bridge the gap of geographical separation.

Pray for good and healthy relationships between our workers in their particular locations as they are, in many ways, the surrogate families to one another.

Children (and grandchildren) are very adaptable and resilient BUT they need the stability of a strong and supportive family, even if they are in another country.

So please join with me this month in praying especial for our wider mission

families.

In His service,

Neil
