Life has more or less settled into a new routine for Ross and Cindy. Tuesday to Thursday they are in Dhaka, go to GEMS School, and do all the usual things that need doing with projects and meet with people. Friday-Monday they are in Chandpur. They find that they have to focus solely on the place they are in at any given time, be fully involved there and then simply swap hats depending on the day!
Chandpur now has two classes and 29 children along with 16 teacher trainees. The building is gradually being transformed into a school. They are amazed at how God has worked through the opportunities that being in this location has presented. They also continue to re-establish former relationships in the church.
The mission house, while not yet complete, has had a lot done to it and is looking good.
GEMS has now completed its fifth school year and there have been more applicants than places this time. It looks like there will be 230 children, and the need for teachers is still great.
Now that Toby has graduated he will be assisting at GEMS until the end of the year before returning back to NZ for further study.
