BUSINESS CHANGES AND NEW VENTURES |

Kerry and John have been involved in the recent development of a new organisation designed to work alongside the businesses in the area. It will have a focus on wider community development including areas such as education, health, budgeting plus assisting in finding the best fit of work for each girl. This also means that the development of networks amongst organisations will be very important.
There are also plans to establish new business opportunities north of the city – an area known for trafficking of young girls and women. The team is keen to be active in the prevention of trafficking but they will need wisdom and guidance about how best to go about this.
Over coming months, as Graeme and Christine head towards moving back to New Zealand, their business will need to see significant changes. As it currently is, the work will close down. However they are seeking alternative employment for the women and a refocused business emphasis. This will not be easy as it affects lives and economic situations.
