Pip arrived in her new location late April. She is still on the language journey but her language learning now comes from relationships. Every day she heads out to the red light area and speaks to the women of mukti (freedom). Her times out on the street are the best part of the day because she is beginning to build relationships and gets to witness the beginning of a transformation. They are also the worst part because she is reminded daily of the horrors that constitute women's lives. She is learning from a beautiful lady from the local area who is an expert on the community and how it works. Aside from this role she has become the onsite nurse dealing with cuts and minor ailments. She aims to become more involved in health aspects next year. This year is for continued language learning. She has a tutor two days a week, as well as a community of women who love to chat.
