At the time of writing Hope was doing much better than expected and was due to begin a programme of chemotherapy. John and Susan continue to value each day with Hope and have had lots of fun doing the ordinary things. John is continuing to work from New Zealand while they are both quite busy cooking, washing and caring for the family.
Fortunately the staff at the engineering business is very capable of carrying on by themselves and John keeps up to date with what is happening with the assistance of emails and Skype. John has helped float a new company to provide employment for women trapped in prostitution. Hopefully, this is the beginning of more work amongst sex workers in their South Asian country.
The Brahmanbaria Church celebrated 100 years of witness in mid February and Olwyn Halder, Raewyn Garwood and Delsie Guy, all retired tranzsend workers, were able to attend.
