By Neil Perry, Team Leader, tranzsend
I have really appreciated the recent opportunity to visit our overseas workers. I was struck again by the huge variety of work we are involved in and the high calibre of our workers. During my visit I learned (relearned?) three important things:
1. I need to be more alert to where God is at work in peoples' lives, and get on board with what He is already doing.
2. I need to be more intentional about sharing my faith with others. It is good to demonstrate the life of Christ but I need also to tell it out.
3. I need to seek to build on the strengths within individuals and communities rather than be problem focused.
It's a shame that these things had somehow got pushed away into the recesses of my mind. I wonder if I had forgotten because I haven't been doing them. Whatever the reason, I am thankful that our overseas workers, and the people they work alongside, have given me the opportunity to be reminded of them. I returned with a huge sense of thankfulness to God for the privilege of being part of tranzsend and what God is doing in and through our people.
