The team took possession of the building on 22 January. The first task was to clean up. This required much sweeping and scrubbing and a YWAM team completed the task by cleaning the walls in preparation for painting. Some alterations and painting have followed to transform it into a work centre. The painting and electrical modifications provided much needed income for some church members. The landlord has agreed to extend the lease beyond one year and this longer term arrangement will enable longer term planning.
It is envisaged that the centre will be a place where many things can be taught and Peter plans to set up hydroponic systems on a large balcony on the second floor. It was hoped that the centre would be ready for use around the end of March. All their friends and contacts, both Christian and Buddhist, are eagerly looking forward to the opening day party.
