 “Sharpening the Arrow” and “Passing the Baton” are two phrases I want us to explore within tranzsend this year.
“Sharpening the Arrow” is for us to clarify our unique and strategic role as the overseas mission agency of the Baptist Churches of New Zealand and to ensure that each of our overseas ministries has a clear and strategic focus. A particular outcome of this will be looking at the ongoing people resourcing of tranzsend. Who are the people, both overseas and in New Zealand, needing to be prepared to receive the baton of overseas ministry and leadership? What can we do now to ensure that this baton is passed to future generations?
I invite you to pray with us as we explore these issues. Recently, I’ve been reminded that the primary thing is to hear from God and to be obedient. Prayer is such an important part of this. I look forward to us journeying together in this.
