Education is something we take for granted, but for many in the world it is a rare luxury. tranzsend workers are actively involved in providing educational opportunities to many adults and children, people like Rebeka in South Asia. In a country where only 60% of children complete primary school, very few have the chance to go on to professional or vocational training. Rebeka, however, has been able to realise her dream of becoming a nurse because New Zealand Baptists, through tranzsend, provided the financial support she needed to continue her journey through education.
This year's Christmas Angel Appeal is called Training For Life, and focuses on the need to provide educational opportunities to those who might otherwise be left out. From primary and preschools to vocational training and community education, tranzsend is engaged in creating opportunities for people to learn and grow.
